Salar Jung Museum holds one of India’s largest one-man collections — European clocks, South Asian manuscripts, sculpture and decorative arts assembled by the Salar Jung family on the Musi riverfront.

History
The museum opened to the public in the 1950s around the private collection of Salar Jung III, whose family served as prime ministers to the Nizams. It remains a flagship cultural institution of Hyderabad.
Architecture
The modern museum buildings organise galleries by region and medium rather than by palace room. The focus is the collection density, not a single historic façade.

Closed Fridays. Prioritise a few galleries — clocks, manuscripts, or sculpture — rather than attempting the whole complex in one pass.
